Welcome to Jim Cole-Rous is a Children's Ministries Teacher Training Specialist.
Jim began reaching children in 1958 presenting them with the Good News of God's Love and Forgiveness they could receive from Jesus. The response by children, resulted in the parents of those children forming a church congregation in that city. Jim went on to do the same thing in five different cities, with the same results.
He studied at the South African Bible Institute and continued to take courses in Children's Ministry over the years. His work was so successful that he was invited to direct all the Children's Ministries for a large Congregation in Los Angeles, where he grew the Children's Church to a weekly attendance of 10 times what he started with. After 5 years of successful work, he resigned his post to make himself available to do special services and teacher training for Churches across America.
Since 1985 there have been over 20,000 children who have made their first time commitment to Christ through the Cole-Rous' ministry. This has resulted in Congregations inviting him to conduct teacher training workshops for their Sunday School and Children's Church and Mid-week program teachers.
The emphasis is on how to hold the children's attention, and have them want to come back each week. Jim shows teachers how to help their students grow spiritually and share their faith with their friends.
Practical class room strategies are addressed to acomplish these goals.
